The sculptor Franz West was part of Cora Pongracz's closer circle of acquaintances. Among his most famous works are the »Passstücke«, portable paper-mâché objects in various forms. This photograph was taken in the rooms of a private collector, where West's partner at the time posed with one of these »materialized neurotic symptoms«.
Cora Pongracz repeatedly photographed in collaboration with artists who performed in front of the camera or had their actions documented, including Otto Muehl, Arnulf Rainer and Dieter Roth.
