Huene’s friend Salvador Dalí painted L’Instant Sublime in 1938 and today the original painting can be seen in the collection of the Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart. For this collage, published in Harper’s Bazaar a year later, Huene placed Dalí and his wife Gala within the landscape laden with surrealist symbolism.
