To dive in, to submerge, to drift: the mysterious world beneath the water’s surface has always held a special fascination. At the WestLicht Photo Museum, this vision becomes a unique experience—when photography and dance move together. Inspired by the current exhibition on the fascinating habitats of the oceans, the dancers of the inclusive dance studio Ich bin O.K. bring hidden worlds beneath the surface to life.
Starting from different photographic perspectives on the sea—ranging from scientific curiosity and aesthetic fascination to ecological inquiry—the dancers translate visual worlds into expressive choreography. The result is poetic, powerful, and sometimes surprising interpretations of a habitat that many people know only through images.
On April 30, 2026, the four groups Ausdruckstanz, Kreativ Tanz, Hip Hop, and Modern Dance from the Ich bin O.K. association transform the exhibition spaces into a stage where art forms meet and open up new ways of seeing. The audience becomes part of an impressive symbiosis of photography, dance, and lived inclusion.
