In her photographs of the human body Ernestine Ruben (*1931) plays with shadow and light, cropping and framing, to create a certain form of abstract plastic space. The naked body and its relation to another body stands in the center of Ruben's focus, her specific photographic glance generates an atmosphere of abstraction that lead to new symbiosis of shapes and forms.
