Photofair Shanghai 2016
OstLicht Gallery presents an exquisite selection of photographs covering a great part of the history of the medium, starting from such unsurpassed classics of the 20th century photography as August Sander and René Burri to extremely influential contemporary artists as David LaChapelle and Wim Wenders. A special focus of this year presentation at Photofairs Shanghai is on celebrities: iconic portraits of such Hollywood divas as Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot, accompanied with images of Andy Warhol, probably the most renowned painter of the last century, and Her Majesty The Queen, pictured in the interiors of the Buckingham Palace by another celebrity star Bryan Adams. Japanese legendary Magnum photographer Hiroji Kubota, whose fine dye-transfer prints will be shown at OstLicht booth, will be present during the fair.
