The series Love by Leica (2006), comprising 66 photographs, is an atmospherically dense collection of black and white portraits of women and nudes, for which Araki worked with an analog Leica M7. His controversial acts and intimate studies of the female body, in which influences of the erotic iconography of the Edo period (peace and prosperity in Japan, 1603-1868) and the glossy aesthetics of the advertising and media world can be seen, made him internationally famous and famous Part of a wide canon of motifs with which the artist describes his world.
