160 pages, mostly pictures in sepia and black-and-white. Text, what little there is, in German, English, and French. The stereoscopic nude may seem a precious distinction, but the examples chosen make the case. This collection of nude photographs attempts to provide an overview of the technical expression givern to the stereoscopic nude, from its early beginnings to the eve of the Second World War. The book summarizes an important chapter in the history of nude photography over a period of nearly 100 years. The women were much "heftier" in the old days you will note than models of today.
