First French edition of Klein's second book with original dustjacket. One of his four "city" books. Unpaginated. Text in French. Black cloth binding printed in white at spine.

William Klein takes us on a whirlwind tour of Rome in the mid fifties as no other has or probably ever will. Not that Italy lacks it's own great photographers of that period, but Klein's eye captures the images as only a non resident would of one of the most storied and historical cities in the world. (Antonio Cacciolla)

One of the more sought after photobooks of the period and well represented in the literature of the photobook having been cited in Roth, The Open Book as well as Parr and Badger "The history of Photobook: Vol. 1
